kiladi bullodu Posted May 13, 2015 Report Posted May 13, 2015 Debjani Krishnan, a young IT employee at a leading MNC in Bangalore, got the shock of her life when the police informed her that they could not give a positive report to the local passport authorities for her live-in relationship with her fiance and now her husband. Debjani is a Bengali lady whose parents had settled down in Hyderabad.Debjani wanted to renew her passport since her job demanded her to fly to the US frequently. She had applied for the renewal in early March and on 28th March, the local police called her to the police station regarding the mismatch of her residence documents. Debjani was in a live-in relationship with Krishnan at his residence from 1st March 2014. The couple got married in December 2014.This prompted the cops to send an adverse report to the passport authorities and questioned Debjani why was she residing at her husband's place even before her marriage. Traumatised by this, Debjani and her husband approached the City Commissioner's office and even her Facebook post in this regard went viral. Finally, the Commissioner of Police MN Reddi had to intervene himself in the issue and rewrote a positive report for the speedy renewal of the passport.
