Balakrishna's Lion Producer at Risk

 

 

 

Lion featuring Nata Simham Balakrishna raised curiosity when the teasers were out. Buyers have shown interest in the film at that time and offered fancy rates on par with the theatrical shares of Legend. However the makers thought that they could get more from the buyers if they don’t close the deal until the last hour.

That strategy went wrong as the buyers never agreed to pay as much as the producers asked for. Meanwhile the film’s release got delayed and the buyers aren’t willing to pay the amounts they offered before.

Producers had to compromise and agree to the terms and conditions of buyers as they couldn’t afford to push the release further.

As per the buzz, Balakrishna is not happy with the delay of the release and the producers were forced to release the movie on May 14th.

As per trade circles, Lion producer didn’t even recover the production costs of the movie as of now. The movie is sold in the range of thirty crores and it should get overflows to bail the producer out.

Makers should have sold the movie while it was still hot in the trade. Delay in closing the deals boomeranged to put them at risk. Hope Lion strikes big at the box office to put everyone in the safe zone.
