community needs a awakening and awareness campaign and in that regard swachh campaign has been hugely successfull (even at the nation level), next time one shall feel ashamed while throwing dirt on to the roads and that is the whole point of this excercise. One must give the credit where its due and I agree CBN was good in campaiging for cleaniness. The city won consequitive 3 times as cleaniest city in his regime but subsquent congress government ruined it, in CBN time the roads were done after every rainy season but congress began eating/diverting into GHMC funds for other welfare schemes and the corruption was rampant and they haven't touched some roads in 10 years of their regime. Also in this swachh review CM found people build houses (some even on the pipe lines) on the whole stretch of 7KM secbad-amberpet nala. it is a high time that government reloacte those poeple and create efficient drianage system.

Swacch is a self awareness campaign for cleaniliness among everyone unlike Srama Dhanam. Cleaniliness is only one part of srama dhanam and as you said the employees are manadated to work than it being voluntary.
