Astrologers fault Andhra Pradesh capital city muhurat

 

VIJAYAWADA: If astrologers are anything to go by, the Chandrababu Naidu government seems to have chosen an 'inauspicious' muhurat to hold 'bhumi puja' (ground-breaking ceremony) for the capital city. They warn the June 6 (8.49am) muhurat would bring bad tidings to Naidu and his government. Even CM's personal astrologer Srinivasa Gargeya concurs with this opinion. 

 

 

"A person who has knowledge of astrology and vastu will not advise a bhumi puja in Jeyshtha masam, the most dreaded month as per Telugu calendar", said astrologer Gundu Satyanarayana Sidhanti of Machilipatnam. Sidhanti, who advises former Tamil Nadu CM and AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa on administrative and personal matters, debunked the June 6 muhurat. "June 6 falls on Saturday and it's a Chavithi day. Saturday is considered inauspicious and Chavithi is not a good day to start any work," he said. 

 

 

Astrologers say Jeyshtam is 'mruthyu panchakam' (danger to life), which could cause bodily harm to the landlord (in this case, the CM) and hence, Naidu should abandon the June 6 bhumi puja plan. Sources said personal astrologers of actor and Naidu's brother-in-law Balakrishna - K S Nagamalleswara Rao and G S Sastry of Amalapuram and H Subramanya Sarma of Peddapuram - have also advised against holding the bhumi puja next month. 

 

 

According to astrologers, there are no auspicious days for conducting bhumi puja for the capital city until November. Gargeya reportedly suggested to the CM to wait till Dasara (October 22). He also pointed out that the period between April 4 and September 28 is 'inauspicious' for Naidu's horoscope as two lunar eclipses would be occurring during said the period.
