They seem to think showing an attitude on screen is acting. eg. prabhas, vijay, surya..

 

ditto for girls who prefer 'meatier' roles in movies. exception is Nithya Menon - What an actor.

 

To be an actor, one should have a natural compelling personality - like Chiru, 

 

or if one doesn't have it, atleast one must be able to copy aspects of personality from several people one meets.

 

picking a personality from a sidney sheldon book, or worse from contemporary movies is what led to this.
