What A Waste Of A Heritage Site - Bhongiri Killa

We shall all be ashamed of ingoring such heritage monuments (I am talking India in general and there several such amazong monuments, forts that are being ignored and the heritage dept has no clue how to protect them), since my childhood I used to wonder whenever I crossed Bhongir why it is not talked about much or given any significance or made open to visitors. If had been America they would have made it another half doom or grand canyon imporatance.

I won't go to that extent for blaming andhra rulers, the people incharge in general had no clue on the importance of it otherwise they wound't have left it as is, also blame the locals who failed to project it for their advantage. The fort is more beuatiful and unique than Golkonda and is just 50 Kms from City
