First It Company Coming In Amaravathi

In what is seen as a major boost to investments in the new capital Amaravathi, the capital of truncated state of Andhra Pradesh has bagged its first-ever Information Technology company. PI Data will be the first software firm to set up its unit in the new capital city. AP government has given formal consent to the IT firm and allotted 10 acres in APIIC lands near Mangalgiri. The land is allotted on a lease basis and the firm has to shell out Rs 1 Crore rent for this land for every year and the lease agreement is valid upto 33 years.

The IT firm has construct its own building in the land and develop the infrastructure. PI Data will be doling out Rs 600 Crore for this project. In its first phase, it's expected to provide employment to 300 people directly and 2000 people indirectly. Higher authorities of PI Data have corroborated the news. 

Meanwhile, more IT companies are in the pipeline to setup their units in the new capital. Ever since AP CM Chandrababu Naidu has announced Amaravathi as the new capital for the successor state, there is a huge hype surrounding it. Considering that the capital would be built according to Singaporean planning with the help of Japanese technology, AP is going all out to woo investors and stated that it'll be industry-friendly. AP has announced its industrial policy which received applause from the IT sector. Looks like, good days are ahead for IT sector in AP. It may be noted that Chandrababu was the pioneer in making Hyderabad as IT hub.
