If eligible for the cap-gap extension, a student’s SEVIS record should be updated with the extension (either through an interface with a U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) database or by a DSO) when a cap-subject H-1B petition is filed on the nonimmigrant student’s behalf. Once the SEVIS is updated, the DSO can print the updated Form I-20 and provide it to the nonimmigrant.

Vallu emo July varaki estam annaru edi H1 pending lo unapudu kani epudu H1 appeoved and original kuda undi epudu veltey malli em antaro ento malli july varkey estey mari August and septemeber ela manage cheyadam asalu artam avadam ledu. malli next week lo velta with the approved h1 and i-2o with the status as h1 approved ani chuddam ema antaro Fisrt Time vellinapudu na h1 pending lo undey so DMV vallu SAVE ki approach itey they agreed for 2 months anta DMV vallu cal chesi chepparu Na situation ki kuda evarina oka solution cheppandi for licence august and september 2 months ki

But you can ask them to check ur sevis number which will show the h1 updated number which makes ur length of stay with h1 added...mostly DMVs can access ur sevis and see ur stay....lekapothe nuvu college call chesi update ayina sevis number with stay in us pampamanu pamputharu...you can show them and ask for license..this is a process few people have done in few states...i dont know if all states agress...but its worth a try
