The entire movie is about urban dalit politics. Anyone who has lived in Chennai in the 90s can grasp that easily.

 

The movie has a smart, suave guy Karthi playing a dalit. A beautiful girl as his gf - a dalit too.

 

But the movie never uses the word - Dalit - to refer to them. or as SC - which is how dalits are popularly referred to in TN.

 

So I ask what's the point of the movie?

 

But yeah, well done in having a dalit win the fight against the oppressor. Only wish he identified himself as a dalit. why the shame?
