He went to renew his passport in chicago and was told he will get the new passport in 2 weeks, he has visa valid till sep 17 2015 and stamped in the expired passport. He is planning to go to India and reenter. here are his complete details: I94 admit until date : april 11th 2015 Passport expired april 12th 2015 Passport renewal applied and will come in 2 weeks I797 upto sep 17 2015 Visa stamp in passport upto sep 17 2015 Spouse visa stamp i94 upto sep 17 2015. Passport upto 2022. Planning to leave his wife and daugter in US and go to India right after he gets the passport from chicago indian passport office and try to reenter USA after a week. His Question Do i have to get my visa stamped on the new passport? Or can i use the old passport with the stamp? Please help if you have any idea about such cases.
koncham2 Posted May 27, 2015 Report Posted May 27, 2015 Dont think so to get stamped on new passport, nenu passport renewal chechaka.. Old pp has a stamp as " Passport cacelled, Valid Visas within this passport not cancelled" Ltt for experts any way
texas Posted May 27, 2015 Report Posted May 27, 2015 you can not stay in US once your I94 is expired.. you need to work on that first and you there is no need to get your stamp on new passport..you are good with old one. First go out of the country and get your i94 extended ASAP

Naa example chebuta vinu. Transfer pettukunte 3 years ki kotta I94 icharu... 1 month taruvaata india ki poyyi return vaste.. POE daggara kotta I94 lo old date icharu... 3 years validity bokka padindhi. Malli velli sari cheyinchukovalsi vachindi. Basic ga neeku anni easy ga avutunnayi.
texas Posted May 27, 2015 Report Posted May 27, 2015 actual ga, may be a dumb question I 94 expire endhuku avuthundhi, - nenu transfer/ extension chesina prathi saari - new I797 lo I94 with extended date achindhi P.S - nenu inka stamping cheyinchu kole yea true ext or amendment cheyinchu kunta we will get new I-94 but ikkada scene different...his stamping was done but when he went to India and at POE vallu i94 only passport expiry date ki icharu, lets say if they give i94 according to your H1 expiry date then no issues but that didnt happen in this case so his i94 is expired on Apr 11th, so he has to leave contry and re-enter to get new i94 or has to file ext or amend his H1

PP & Visa lo edhi earliest ute danike istaru... Adhi Common. Nuvvu PP Expire ayyaka telusukunnav... First get PP... Go Out and come back... POE daggara adagochu.. endhuku over stay ani... Justify chesuko.

Justify chesuko. adgochu kadu, he resulted in illegal stay so far in US..so he has to contact Advocate ASAP and talk to them, and see how he can support his case now

Mention the dates on which he is travelling. if travelling after Sep 17 2015 then he needs to get stamped on new passport. If going before Sep 17 2015 then no need for new stamp. Passport validity is for India. Visa stamp on old passport is still valid Only new arrival dates/immigration stamp will be done on new passport
