athletics Posted June 1, 2015 Report Posted June 1, 2015 Under SRDP, GHMC has proposed to construct multi-level flyovers and junctions at about 20 important places in GHMC limits at a cost of Rs 4,051 crore which includes cost of civil structures and land acquisition. The State government gave in principle approval to the SRDP project on Saturday. The state government after examining proposals of the GHMC gave green signal for construction of flyovers and junctions under Design Build, Maintain and Transfer (DBMT) Annuity Mode. The proposed 20 flyovers/junctions include (1) KBR Park Entrance Jn. (2)Maharaja Agrasen Jn. (Road No 12 Jn.), (3) Cancer Hospital Junction (Road no. 10 Junction), (4) Film Nagar, (5) Road No 45 Jn, (6) Jubilee Hills Check Post Jn. (Option II), (7) LB Nagar Junction, (8) Bairamalaguda Junction, (9) Kamineni Hospital junction on Inner Ring Road (10) Chintalakunta Check post junction, (11) Rasoolpura (12) Uppal (13) Owaisi Hospital, (14) Biodiversity park Jn. (15) Ayyappa Society Jn. (16) Rajiv Gandhi Statue Jn. (17) Bahdurpura (18) Abids GPO to Chaderghat and Malakpet (19) Mind Space and (20) Cyber Towers Junctions- Elevated Rotary cum Grade Separator. The state government further directed the GHMC to take steps for reducing the land acquisition cost by negotiating with the land owners who are willing to agree for Transfer of Development Rights (TDR) on similar lines offered to land owners who surrendered lands to GHMC free of cost for the master plan roads. The first phase of the SRDP project which covers construction of multi-level flyovers at the KBR park, six junctions and surrounding roads, L B Nagar and surrounding junctions, Rasoolpura Junction, Uppal junction and Owaisi junction and major corridor for Biodiversity junction to Kukatpally, Bahadurpura Junction and Elevated Corridor from Abids GPO to Chaderghat and Malakpet and junctions at different places would cost an estimated Rs 4,051 crore which includes cost of civil structures and land acquisition.
