King_Kong Posted June 3, 2015 Author Report Posted June 3, 2015 rofl idhi kotha drive @3$% modata nunchi adhe ba. Vizag being a big city should get more attention from CM. Growth of Vizag means growth of state. Vizag already have decent infra. Capable of attracting major investments if govt really promotes it like how KTR promoting Hyderabad. Iam okay for mega capital but it will take atleast a decade for capital to have good infra.

King_Kong Posted June 3, 2015 Author Report Posted June 3, 2015 DB lo kurchoni emi avatledhu ante etla man... @3$% You know nothing is happening on the ground. I have many friends who are currenly living in Vizag. All are very educated and are not happy with this govt. This is today article : http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/visakhapatnam/IT-hub-dreams-yet-to-take-flight-in-Vizag/articleshow/47522180.cms he said, "The signature tower has been touted as something that will be better than the Cyber Tower in HiTec City of Cyberabad. But APIIC is yet to finalise the consultant for taking up the project even though the deadline specified by the state government was March end. The AP government needs to hold the concerned department responsible for the delays."Slamming the state government, Buddha Chandrasekhar, CEO of New World Software said, "We can give zero out of 100 to the state government for its performance especially in IT. The state government is saying that it has the best IT policy, but why are companies not coming? It is because the departments of the state government are not allowing them to set up their offices in the city."Citing his personal example, Chandrasekhar, who had wanted to provide employment to around 120 people, is yet to receive allotment of space at Rushikonda IT Hills even nearly eight months after the CEO conclave took place in the city. "There was only one call from the IT department after TOI highlighted that new companies have not been allotted any space. After that we sent them our requirements, but there has been no response from them as yet. How will big companies come to Vizag, if the state government can't even manage to provide space to small and medium companies? It is a complete failure of the IT department," he added.Ravi Eswarapu, president, Vizag IT Association (VITA), said, "The government started off well by conducting roadshows initially, but that momentum has to pick up and continue. Results will of course take time, but at least one or two big anchor companies declaring that they want to start operations from Vizag will start creating the momentum and buzz and we will be able to see a real growth in comparison with the big cities." "There are lot of things on paper, but now is the time for things to become a reality. AP needs to convert those into results this year," he added.* Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) mooted nearly three years yet to receive nod from central government.* Foundation stone for Signature Tower for IT companies at Rushikonda IT Hills yet to be laid even though chief minister promised to lay it in March
