lazybugger Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 no the labor costs have gone tremendously high in China, hence companies like Flextronics are looking at south east asian and south american countries, if India can pitch in they can lead the space for another 2 decades Its not just labour costs, Indian local demand itself is enough to justify a dozen thriving electronics manufacturing clusters. Hyderabad being one of them.
vaade_veedu Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 Its not yet begun. But companies have to be really proactive in hiring and firing and adopting new technologies. If labour laws, land acquisition laws are done with, there is hope. There's so much room to grow in MEMS. The technology is still not mature. The way Internet of Things is being advertised, there will be a huge demand for the next decade atleast. I dont really see internet of things being implemented at a scale as large as the smartfone market. Not even 20% just look at how new gadgets are falling apart like apple watch or microsoft hololens

Just that MEMS standards are still being debated. When its time, it'll explode, and you will know it. just in case, keep working on that idea of yours.
