k2s Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 i am on h1b..the pays are diminishing bro...and expenses are expanding. 5 yrs back..ppl used to get 100k. even now ppl get 100k or less. but the expenses have increased tremendously. intially-- a contractor was given travel, accommodation, food etc expenses were paid.. plus 100k jeetham and this costs the client abt 100k plus 20k expense now they dont do it...bcoz aa consultancy came forward saying..give me overall 100k... i will settle within this. inturn...now the contractor gets 80k...no expenses paid...and the rest goes into the pocket of consultancy.. then another consultancy came...said give 100k overall...i will give you one contractor here..and one contractor offshore now the contractor gets 65k offshore get 15k ...rest goes to pocket of consultancy. so ila okari tarvatha okaru vasthu pothuntey...inka rates padatamey thappa pergatam undadhu. its doesnt matter if we are h1-b or anything... .we are leading a very middle class life...with no home no property noback up. kooli ki pokapotey kadupu nindadhu situation lo unaam.. which is not the american dream
