u're actually being too generous with the numbers ,

 

these are the figures that i calculated in the past , im copy/pasting the same comment here agn , 

 

 

 

 

one of the disadvantages that i know of is that AP government is paying Rs.6.49 per unit  , this is like one of the lowest prices in India ...

 

it costs about 7-8Cr per megawatt and u can get about 70% loan ( 5Crores) at about 14-16% interest rates ..

 

your EMI will be close to 10lakhs per month and maintenance charges will be about 1-2lakhs per month 

 

thats about 1.4crores per year .... 

 

1MW power plant untey it generates about 1.5-1.7 million units a year , thats about 97lakhs in revenue per year ...

 

antey u will run with about 43lakhs deficit EVERY YEAR untill u break even ( 1.4cr - 97lakhs ) .... if u have the capacity to bear that , its a very good venture actually ....

 

thanks. so this 7cr/mw is inclusive of storage systems too? or just the cost of PV + power stabilizer + cost of construction?

I think you may have underestimated the cost of maintenance when huge storage systems are involved.

Yeah, at peak times you can probably sell the power directly to industries at twice the price. again depending on how much the grid allows you to.

those are the numbers that i got from a friend of mine who owns a 6MW ( 3+3 ) solar power plant in karnataka ...

 

I Just asked him how much does operation and maintenance cost and he told me that it costs abt 1-2lakhs per month .... i guess thats per megawatt , maybe i dint get it right then ...
