The Application Developer will be a key member of a team that assists in the design, development, debugging, implementation and enhancement of new and existing software programs. Location: Suit Land, MD Duration: 1+ Year Rate: $17/hr on W2 Experience: 0-2 Years Major Responsibilities Ø Designs, develops, enhances, debugs, and implements software. Ø Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements. Ø Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements. Ø Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management. Ø Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools. Ø Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. Required Skills Ø Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of an integrated team. Ø Highly analytical, possessing critical and creative thinking skills. Ø Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships with team and customers Ø 0-2 years Oracle SQL and PL/SQL experience Ø 0-2 years Oracle Spatial experience Optional Skills Ø 0-2 years Java experience Ø Experience with HTML, JavaScript and CSS a plus Ø Experience with Geospatial data and data formats a plus Ø Experience with SAS programming a plus Education & Experience Ø Bachelors Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience.
