texas Posted June 8, 2015 Report Posted June 8, 2015 NOT a BIG Fan of ORACLE I am Teradata GUY, incase meeku telisthe please reply ivvadi. Installed Oracle Retail Predictive Application Server (RLAS). Oracle didn't provide the ERD model of the RPAS (not logical nor physical). They spilled the entire 200 tables on a single subject area so it looks like a huge chaotic labyrinth. (BTW - it is a common evil - not just by Oracle). I re-designed their 200 tables into 11 sub-models and we have much better understanding of the RPAS now. The last piece we need is the "translator" of the physical names to their original logical source. Typically it is a single CSV file that has 1:1 relationship between the logical (business) terms and the physical's. I guess it is somewhere within the RPAS home directory. I don't have admin privilege on the tool and the local team has no idea where to start. I'm looking for the naming file itself (the "translator" ) or at least for the file-name and its location. If anyone has information how or where Oracle is translating logical to physical I'll appreciate it
