Molyvos – A Tourist Capital Of Historic Island Of Lesbos,hellas,greece

The tourist capital of the famous historic island, found in the Aegean Sea, offers a wide range of activities. Embedded in the mountainous area, the city features a dramatic landscape, which is dominated by the Byzantine castle, posited on the mountain and overlooking the town. 

 

Hundreds of stone houses gradually descend from the mountain, creating a web of streets, which is entertaining to explore. Many shops, cafes and restaurants are found here too. One can also admire Molyvos and its neighboring surroundings by boat – here one of the most picturesque harbors are found. Vacationers also enjoy water activities, relaxing on the beach and going to clubs at night.

Why to go there?: A beautiful town, which provides outdoor as well as indoor activities. Hot springs of Eftalou are also found near Molyvos and are popular among the visitors.
When to go there?: The climate is warm all year round. Summers are the most beach-friendly of course.
How to get there?: Get to Lesbos by plane from Greece and various European cities. Then take a bus or a taxi to Molyvos – it is a 50 minutes drive.
