solman Posted June 9, 2015 Author Report Posted June 9, 2015 Gross abuse and misuse of power The authority and government administrative machinery vested on a Chief Minister by the Constitution of Republic of India is sacred, and must be used to protect the tenets of democracy and fundamental rights of the Citizens governed by the State. TRS Government led by its bitter tongued Chief Minister KCR has a history of abusing the system to meet his selfish and anti-constitutional objectives. There is a sea of difference between the ideologies of TRS and Telugu Desam – the sole opposition in Telangana that wages daily battles against KCR’s misrule and systemic abuse of authority. KCR has always exercised the ‘divide and rule’ policy to create differences between people and take advantage of their emotional vulnerabilities. In continuation with that policy, KCR and longtime friend YSRCP Chief YS Jagan began to plot against their common enemy CBN. They saw opportunity in the elections to fill the vacant seats in the Telangana Legislative Council. With a simple majority of 62 MLAs, the TRS was eligible to contest for 4 MLCs in state Legislative Council. Boosted by ‘Operation Aakarsh’, KCR & Co contested for 5 MLCs. They began by enticing legislators who won on Telugu Desam party tickets with bribes. Some were threatened with dire consequences of the likes of raids on personal property and physical harm. While some budged, some didn’t. What is this if not a slap on democracy? How did a party with 62 legislators drum up the support of 85 legislators to win 5 MLC seats in the elections? Is it not horse trading? Is it not encouragement of defections by bribing with money and position? CBN is waging a lonely war against these evil forces - KCR & YS Jagan - that are out to bulldoze democracy and the spirit of egalitarianism. Let us show CBN is not alone in this war!
