Cash For Vote Scandal: Revanth Reddy Gets 12 Hr Bail

Telangana TDP senior leader and Kodangal MLA Revanth Reddy was granted bail by the ACB Court on Wednesday. Revanth, who was allegedly caught red-handed by the ACB on May 31st while bribing nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson, granted bail for 12 hours as he needs to attend the engagement ceremony of his daughter which is slated for Thursday.

Revanth Reddy's lawyer Siddharth Lodha earlier argued in the court that ACB itself admitted that Revanth didn't carry cash and third person has brought the cash. He argued that the incident took place on May 29th but the FIR was filed on May 31st and the raids were conducted in Revanth's house on June 9. Reddy's lawyer pointed out the sheer difference between the dates and alleged that Reddy was deliberately targetted when his daughter was going to be engaged. Siddharth asked the court to grant bail to Revanth and quash the FIR complaint lodged against him.
