In a new video, students from all over the world at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University in Japan were asked what makes Americans stand out from the crowd. Unsurprisingly, stereotyping is alive and well here, with most of the people agreeing that U.S citizens tend to be white, loud and overweight. To be fair, there are a few more flattering descriptions thrown in by the students. For instance, some of these people really envy the supreme confidence that all Americans apparently have. Also they “smell of freedom”. But nothing is topping the bizarre specificity of the Japanese dudes who claimed that Americans “don’t carry umbrellas when it’s raining”. Okay…
