Same my village. Naa chinnappudu mala madhiga rendu unde vallu. Not very Christian. I think Mala was complete Hindus. They used to celebrate all the festivals but never dared to come into the temples. Upper Caste people must have taken the initiative to bring them. Didn't happen. And there were a few Christians without any bible knowledge. Okka Church kooda ledhu. And Temples 4 undevi. Ippudu 5 churches unnayi...temples mathram 4 alaane unnayi. YS gaani time lo perigaayi. Vallani emi analem. Because they also wanted an identity and unity just like the upper castes. Since the Hindus and Hinduism didn't allow that they preferred Christianity. Nenu 10th class oka lesson chadhiva..Raju ani ..varna samkram (caste based system) support chesthu. Like all varnas (caste) have purpose and the system fulfills the dharma and etc. Appatlo manchide anipinchidhi..but ippudu alochisthe...what a crap anipisthundhi. Our society and the religious ethos are bloody racist and discriminatory...it started from the Manu sastra (Manu the first human that we Hindus consider). Now both mala and madhiga are Christian in the village. As long as we don't know have homogenous society like the Chinese, Japanese, Koreans and the other pacific asian countries and the westren countries we can't compete in the international arena. We need a stronger, unified society to compete with others, not fighting among ourselves in the form of this segregation.
