Car Bumper Damaged --- Pls Advise--Urgent

Today afternoon one guy hit my parked car from rear while he was backing up...he agreed he was at fault and gave me his insurance details

I called cops and they gave a citation to him and provided me the case number where all details have been mentioned

 

I called my insurance and reported the issue and they suggested  

 

1.I can go with my insurance and they get the money from the other party insurer for faster repair

2. I can contact the other party insurance and ask them to fix

 

I searched for the part and it is costing around $400 just the part

 

now Questions :

 

1. Whom should I go with  ( my inurance or call the other guys insurance ?)

2. Body shop vaadu repair chesi fix chestha ante ..I want original part replacement ani adagocha.....enta repair chesinaa..it will be noticable kada..its brand new car ):

 

any other suggestions / your experiences please....

4  weeks mundu na car (honda civic) ni rear end chesedu okkadu same bumper poindi, insurance claim cheste vadu vachi option adigadu, neenu cheppanu I will fix it give me a cheque ani, so vadu evaluate chesi $2300 ki check ichadu, so nenu ebay lo part order echi nene fix chesina $300 ayindi..1 week pattindid part raniki..

 

body shop ki pote minimum $1200-2000 charge chestaru..

usually if the damage is more than $750 it gets on your report but again it is as per the state law..small accidents doesn't matter that much in lowering the value

you should report to your insurance but claim money from the other insurer

 

typically your insurance can issue you a check with out any verification and will deal with the other insurance for the damage done but in my case I reported the accident to my insurance company and dealt directly with the other guys insurance for the repairs..whole process took 3 days

 

or optionally you may not even report the accident to your insurance and directly register a claim on other guys insurance.

that's right, I didn't wanted that head ache and hence directly dealt with the other guys insurance for a full payment, also it was not so urgent for me to fix it and could wait sometime to get it fixed..
