Nayani was in fact a student leader during the 1968 agitation,latter he went on to win the MLA seat under janta party(now BJP)..after that he won few times but was not much in the news, he joined TRS during the onset, he was elected MLA in 2004 and was even part of YSRs cabinet, but he resigned latter and never ditched KCR like others did and hence i guess KCR favored him for the post. Even KCR said in many interviews that he treats him as his elder brother. I feel that As long as he is corrupt free and gives his officials a free hand to operate his appearance shouldnt matter that much.
