Why Not Call Church Shooting , Act Of Terrorism?

The massacre of nine African-Americans in Charleston has been classified as a possible hate crime, apparently carried out by a 21-year-old white man who once wore an apartheid badge and other symbols of white supremacy. But many civil rights advocates are asking why the attack has not officially been called terrorism.

Against the backdrop of rising worries about violent Muslim extremism in the United States, advocates see hypocrisy in the way the attack and the man under arrest in the shooting have been described by law enforcement officials and the news media.

Assaults like the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013 and the attack on an anti-Islamic gathering in Garland, Tex., last month have been widely portrayed as acts of terrorism carried out by Islamic extremists. Critics say, however, that assaults against African-Americans and Muslim Americans are rarely if ever called terrorism.

Moreover, they argue, assailants who are white are far less likely to be described by the authorities as terrorists.

“We have been conditioned to accept that if the violence is committed by a Muslim, then it is terrorism,” Nihad Awad, executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a civil rights advocacy group in Washington, said Thursday in a telephone interview.

Here are reasons:

1. Unlike Koran, no other text book teaches to kill Khaffirs. Rape Khaffir women. Commit Genocides on non-muslims.

2. These acts are just a personal revenge of the people involved but doesnt reflect the whole community's views.

3. The number of attacks by non-muslims on muslims as well as non-muslims is still a fraction of what muslims do to others.

4. Most basically its NOT a religious war, its a personal frustration.

Point#2
Lets say this is an attact by one person who is inspired by white supremacist ideologies
Then why was the Boston bombings called a terrorist attack?
That is also an act by an individual with no affikiation to terrorist organisations

Here is the definition of terrorism:
Terrorism is commonly defined as violent acts (or the threat of violent acts) intended to create fear (terror), perpetrated for an economic,[1] religious, political, or ideological goal, and which deliberately target or disregard the safety of non-combatants (e.g., neutral military personnel or civilians). Another common definition sees terrorism as political, ideological or religious violence by non-state actors.

Bro

I myself studied the whole of Koran.

But I am different from Muslims because Muslims WANT to believe and I do not want to believe that tosh.

Even though you do not belong to any Terrorist Organization, if you read Koran, you will tend to be become radicalised.

So I need to tell you my views on Koran:

1. In almost each and every page, it demands that you should belive in God and Oneness of God. At times I felt like God begging to believe and at times I felt God threatening us to believe his existence.

2. In almost every page, there is a concept of Hell Fire -- If you dont believe God or insult God's Messenger then you will face Hell Fire.

3. In almost every page, there is a reference to non-believers aka Khaffirs. Why doesnt Koran treat every one as equal, Why does it divide the humans into muslims and non-muslims?

At the end, why God decided to send messenger only in Middle East and that too in Araic Language.

Why discrimination on other languages? Due to this discrimination, Koran needed to be translated into several languages and the main essence of it was lost in translation.

Bhayya I got ur point on Islamic jihadists.. And am really impressed that u studied the koran

Nenu jihadists terrorists kadu anatledu... My question is, why only jihadists who kill innocent people are called terrorists, while the same crime perpetarated by a White supremacist guy is called an individual act or an act done out of mental illness?
