Attorney The I-140 does not get ported to a new company. The I-140 employer petition is company specific. The exception to this is in a case where there is a sufficient connection between the companies OR the I-485 has been filed / pending for at least 180 days. Otherwise, the priority date generally can be retained from the approved I-140 in a new I-140 filing. But, it is ONLY the priority date that is kept, not the rest of the case. Also can we change our employer immediately after I-140 approval? and still retain our PD? Old employer i-140 revoke chesadanukondi instead of withdraw, can our new company lawyer starts GC process, some lawyers says they dont start if old employer revoke instead withdraw.
