How To Book Flights When You Have Infant

tkt konapude reserve cheylema?

Yes, you can do that..even for infant in lap, you have to takr ticket..typically, this will be 10% of the adult ticket...

You can request for bassinet at this time but it is not guaranteed..I think.the catch is, bassinet service is complimentary, so, you technically are not paying for it but only for the child to travel with you..

Also, if your seat is in the front row, more than likely you can get bassinet...
If not ask attendants,

Some times, whenever there is turbulence, they will.ask.you to take.your kid from the bassinet..so, if.they are light sleepers, they will get distrubed...

I had to do all this recently...

Is the kid travelling with one parent?..I would suggest getting a separate seat but it really depends because sometimes they do not want to sit in the seat rather would prefer to sit in your lap..you may also carry car seat or something like that approved by federal aviation, so, the kid can be properly secured in the seat. This is not required but recommended and this will not be inculded in your baggage. This can be a bit hassle if you have several lay over, as you have to carry it...

Sometimes, flights have empty seats, you can use them, if you do not want to buy separate seat but depends on your luck...I

If you do not buy seat and want to try infant on lap what is your baby weight and height. I think most bassinet s are max 10 kgs. Except British airways which is 12. Also for british airways, kids will get one 23kgs.

Your best bet is to call airways directly and find out and everything else really depends on your luck..just have patience...

One thing,.make sure you have new toys and your kid tired , so he can sleep in the flight as much as possible.

Good luck..

thanks man..july end-- i dnt think flights fly empty..

Looks like Emirates has better options for bassinet

I tried Etihad.... which is a waste especially if you are traveling with toddlers.

http://www.emirates.com/us/english/plan_book/essential_information/travelling_with_infants.aspx

For families traveling with infants, we have equipped every Emirates plane with:

  • Pillows and blankets
  • Large overhead storage lockers
  • Changing tables in the toilets

We also have bassinets on board all of our aircraft, measuring approximately 29.5 inches (74.93cm) long by 13 inches (33.02cm) wide by 6.5 inches (16.51cm) deep. There is a weight limit of 11 kg. In the First Class suites, a custom bassinet is fitted that measures 25 inches (63.5cm) long and 11 inches (28cm) wide. We provide bassinets on a first come, first served basis; you will need to contact Reservations to reserve one.  We can provide bassinets for babies up to 2 years old, but babies older than a year may have difficulty fitting in them.  If your baby weighs more than 11 kg or is too long for our bassinet, the cabin crew will not be able to provide them.

Dude less than 2 yrs price is usually fixed 100 dollars untadi , bassinet seat depends on weight of the baby

US nunchi book chesthunnavu kabatti talk to the Air India and tell them to block the bassinet they will do it

it mean you and your wife will sit on front row in front of bassinet

Direct houston nunchi try cheyyii or else dallas nunchi try cheyyi

I had bad experience with air india , Bassinet book chesamu , ma papa 13 months , koddiga bodduga untadi so air hostess vachi me papa lavu ga undi bassinet ivvanu annadi , and said bassinet seat only 10 kilos eh paduthundi ani cheppindi

I argued with her for almost 1 hr , called the surpervisor than asked them to call co pilot to resolve the problem

Ultimately they brought the bassinet which say 15 kiles maximum weight , and my daughter is only 12 kgs

So it depends on weight , 18 months ante koddiga weight untaru so find out from what ever flight you book
