KCR Cares A damn For Yoga Day!

What was Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao doing when the entire world was observing the International Yoga Day?

KCR was nowhere to be seen in any of the Yoga Day events, while his AP counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu took part in the function in Vijayawada and Governor E S L Narasimhan in Hyderabad.

Obviously, the media was curious about the Telangana Chief Minister. And in the afternoon, KCR appeared at an audio release function of a Telugu film, where he showered a lot of sops on the industry.

Enquiries revealed that KCR did not evince much interest in the Yoga Day celebrations for various reasons. First, he cannot get up so early in the morning.

Secondly, he never had the habit of doing exercises, more so in the morning hours, and hence, any attempt to do it for the first time would be disastrous for him.

Thirdly, he does not want to create a wrong impression among Muslims in Hyderabad by joining the Yoga Day celebrations, which are believed to be a Hindu affair.

It would affect the party prospects in the GHMC elections. Hence, KCR stayed away from the Yoga Day!
