Hello everyone,
I'm here with a problem of my childhood best friend regarding his married life. My friend married about 3 years ago and was very happy with his wife. He called me some time back and is asking what to do? He said that while he came back from work, his wife had her female college friend over his house and they were chatting in their bedroom. Apparently, his wife and her friend didn't knew that he was home. He overheard their conversation and found out that his wife was still in love with her ex boyfriend. And this broke him. He called me up and has been telling me all these things. He's saying that he did all that was possible for him to keep her happy and it seemed that she was happy. Only to find out that it was all lies. And also he didn't knew about her past relationship before marriage. He's never been in any relationship before. His wife is his first serious relationship in his life. I mean he's in love with her. So, he's been crying a lot to me and asking for advice as he trusts me. I've never seen him so emotional before and this has forced me to be careful with advices. I've been telling him to be patient and let some time go. But the problem is that, even I'm not convinced with the effectiveness of my advice. That's why I'm asking you. What should be the best possible practical solution for my friend? Are there any quick fix? Because, not only he's quickly loosing his motivation to stay in marriage, but also he's loosing faith in the institution of marriage.
Another thing is that, he's trying to act normal in front of his wife. And he's reluctant to have a talk with his wife about this stating that, 'If she does not love me after all this, then what good talk is going to make her love me?' 
His wife doesn't know that he knows about her feelings but started to feel something is wrong with him. Please help!!

 

Hey guys!! I just had a chat with my friend. He said that he talked to her and told her everything that he heard that day. He said at first she started crying and apologised for hiding this fact. She did confess and said that she truly loved her ex boyfriend and still is in love with him. She also said that she cannot love anyone more than that. But she has been loyal to my friend.

Again, it's getting really tougher with time for my friend here. Now what? He's extremely frustrated. He really loves her but that love is one way traffic from his side. So, should he accept this as fate and move on with his life as it is? Or is there any solution for this?
