Petrol to cost Rs. 6.00 more!

[size=15pt][i][b][color=green]Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee has hinted that the Centre will need to have a relook at fuel prices because of the growing burden of subsidies being given to many companies.
“As far as the pricing policy is concerned, we have to address it” said the Minister, who is chairperson of a Group of Ministers, studying the problems faced caused by the expenditure for subsidized fuel.
The Group of Minister will meet on June 7th to decide on free petrol and diesel prices from government control. Such a step will benefit state owned oil marketing companies such as Indian Oil Corporation, Hindustan Petroleum and Bharat Petroleum. The companies lose around Rs 255 crore every day by selling petrol at a loss of Rs. 6.07 per liter and diesel at a loss of Rs. 6.38 per litre.
If fuel is freed from government control petrol prices will go up by atleast Rs. 6.00![/color][/b][/i][/size]
