it all depends on your interest..what to look for..I visited Yellowstone this long weekend and I really enjoyed it..

 

Things to look for in Yellowstone:

1. Old Faithful - Geyser every 1 hour okasari  (avg ga) vosthundi..its delight to watch..

2. Old faithful pakkana inko geyser undi, its called Grand geyser anta...adi every 7-8 hours ki oka sari vosthundi anta..previous danini batti calculate chesukoni wait cheyadame..

3. Lower water falls and upper water falls..

4. Uncle Tom's trail

5. Mammoth Hot springs

6. Mud Volcano

7. Fountain Paint Pots

8. Midway Geyser

9. Dragon's Mouth Spring

10.Falls from Artist Point (2 points untayi..)

11.Drive from Mammoth springs  - Tower Roosevelt - Canyon Village (Super drive..if you like driving and nature lover)

12.Norris Geyser - hottest geysers..

13. Watch out for bears on drive btw Canyon village to fishing village (I got lucky to see Grizzly bear and a black bear very closely..)

 

These are few things to watch out for..Personally I felt, if you visit in fall, it will be a feast..

I spent like 2.5 days to watch the above ones and few other things..

Did you drive there? or fly 

 

I am at an awkward distance from Yellowstone, i couldn't decide between  driving there in 10 hrs or flying, which would you suggest

 

also if flew, would you suggest renting a 4x4  or just any rental car world work?

We drove around 15 hours to reach Yellowstone..Drive was not bad..though there are construction zones (around 8-10). We were 2 drivers in the car, we rented standard SUV.

Stayed in West yellowstone..motels were ok ok type..unless u spend another 40-50 dollars per nights to get into regular motels..Book motels in advance..otherwise it will be hard to find one, since this is the season....
