ya installing keylogging s/w on someone's machine is a crime. but when google does it no one "cares" or may be most of us don't understand the cons associated with it.

The only reason I like  chrome  is its faster.IE takes ages to start up ,firefox also not too fast..safari.. I don't like the progress circle on top revolving 100 times a second when the page is not loading.

agreed,it crashes and its not fully compatible with css3 (not even ie8 only firefox is compatible ).but for reading eenadu, some  other news papers and to watch some videos I don't a need a browser with all capabilities.

i don't know about older versions of IE but never blame IE8 without using it according to me it is the fast, safe browser i agree with the fact it is like indian bajaj scooter it takes a while to startup but once it is done it runs as fast as pulsar

Not blaming it.At times not have patience to wait till it gets loaded.Other thing as I pointed it does not support css3.

For example,  if you have to design  web page boxes ,buttons with rounded corners ( which makes it looks good) you have to struggle on IE8 bcoz it does not support css3.

oh k  sorry2 i am not sure about css3 thing coz i never been so deep into web designing

you are missing the whole point here.....it's all about privacy, not about speed. i think firefox isn't too slow when compared to chrome...also just imagine, every key stroke you type into your address bar will be logged by google and can be shared with law enforcement agencies if necessary...
dude IE8 aa vammo adhi kuda one of the chetha browsers only better than IE7...

from web development point of view every thing works like a charm in firefox... whatever works in firefox works in chrome..

but IE sucks big time.. sometimes you have go for a new style to make things look better in IE. I hate IE..
The main problem with IE is it thinks world is perfect which is not the case...
Who damn cares about doctype when you start a new site.. but IE does..

Google chromes keystroke logging is enabled only if the user turns on auto-suggest feature. it is stored on google servers not in the browser cache or anywhere on the local computer. you can turn it off. It only stores data that you type in search bar or address bar not in any other text boxes that show up on the webpages.

IE is the most targeted browser coz of its highly incompetent security protocols and coz it is widely used as it is a default browser in most used OS brand. Takes hell of a time.. runs lot of background processes that arent necessary. It sucks....

I used to love firefox until 3.6 came and made it look as hell as IE. but you can fine tune it to work great. As it is open source and has a large network of developers and is default in lunix/unix based systems it comes with lot of extensions that are very useful..

Whats actually goolge does with data stored from chrome.
Google has the right to store any information typed into Chrome's Ominibox, which serves as both search bar and address bar. The software maker told CNET News it plans to store about 2 percent of all such data, along with the IP address of the computer that entered the information.
The end user license agreement states it is used solely for improving search features and providing good results for users. It cannot share user data to enforcement agencies... and what do you type in address bar.. it can be sniffed by your internet providers filters if they wish to you dont need a browser to do that....
