donganaaK Posted July 10, 2015 Report Posted July 10, 2015 AAP youth wing launched, to target senate elections The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday launched its youth wing – Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti (CYSS). In a press conference held at the Press Club, senior leaders of the party introduced the convenor of their youth wing and the plans that the party has in Maharashtra. "We will be taking up a series of student's issues. They will include an agitation against the high cost of forms charged by private institutions despite there being rules that the documents should not be more than Rs20. We will also be looking to contest the senate elections," said Farooque Ahmed, convener of CYSS. He added, "We will also be taking up issues regarding job opportunities for the youth and will be pitching for higher budget for education." The recent Delhi budget saw AAP raising the allocation for education by 100 per cent. Although the party has been wanting to contest, the university has not been providing us with the forms, alleged Ahmed. When asked about the party's image of being people's representative and real opposition in the state but not seen protesting as much to its image, Subhash Ware, state convenor of the party said, "That is not the case as we have been protesting. We protested againstPankaja Munde and Vinod Tawde. We have also been working in over 100 villages." The party added that it would also continue its agitation against state ministers Munde and Tawde among others. "We used to believe that while Congress is corrupt, BJP is rogue. That is not the case. BJP is rogue and corrupt," said senior AAP leader Mayank Gandhi.
