Rebel890 Posted July 15, 2015 Report Posted July 15, 2015 I have watched most the Hollywood war movies including the TV show game of thrones... I felt he has done his job and btw I've watched some of ithe nterviews of renowned vfx technicians they were saying that India doesn't have even 30% of technology what China has now, forget about Hollywood... Dude don't Just try dwell around your point... One has to appreciate their efforts with such limited resources and budget... Please don't forget it's a regional movie not even India level movie If at all u see my post last night regarding this movie,I did appreciate the efforts but felt very comical when ppl saying it's one of a kind movie.vfx are very poor.60-70% effort won't make u feel like u seeing some video game effects .

I was completely satisfied.. All my friends who watch Hollywood movies regularly appreciated those graphics... Just leave it,I don't want to argue anymore..

I concur these graphics doesn't even come close to 50% of mummy movie graphics from 15 years ago let alone the latest Hollywood standards. Why I compare with mummy becuase it is made on small budget of $40 million. Never the less very good for indian standards. Some places it has been very poor and subjects are very blurry like in the war scenes and the snow scene is far worse . A good way to know the quality of visuals is watch it on a small screen like a TV and you will immensely enjoying watching a gladiator or a 300 on a small screen todate becuase those grafics are that good and same will not be with Bahubali. Please take this as positive criticism and I also concur it is a first step in the right direction for Indian movies.

I agree Hollywood has adopted that kind of technology long back, but in India we don't have even 10% of technology what they have... 50% of their results with such resources isn't it laudable?

Nobody is denying that but to say better than Hollywoods best is just wrong and another false pretisge as if the graphics team is indegenous.
ballibaja Posted July 15, 2015 Report Posted July 15, 2015 Nobody is denying that but to say better than Hollywoods best is just wrong and another false pretisge as if the graphics team is indegenous. They never said it was completely indigenous... From the beginning the whole teams was telling that they got it done from different artists in India, South Korea and China because we don't have enough vfx resources to work for a movie which has 450 vfx shots... And nobody said that it's better than Hollywood movies including the team to critics... They all say that it's a laudable effort and best vfx scenes Our country has ever witnessed and some shots are on par with Hollywood standards
VizagRocks Posted July 15, 2015 Report Posted July 15, 2015 problem is not with the budget, but the item direction of Rajamouli himself. pointless use of vfx cheapened the movie.

It's fair to compare baahubali with mummy.

ballibaja Posted July 15, 2015 Report Posted July 15, 2015 problem is not with the budget, but the item direction of Rajamouli himself. pointless use of vfx cheapened the movie. Is it? Then Why the whole Indian film fraternity, critics, media and even renowned business icons in India are appreciating the film?
