Ramoji Rao Grabs Baahubali Rights

 

 

Baahubali is one film that has become a sensational hit right now and it has already broken many previous records of Indian cinema. And industry insiders feel that it will break many more records before it goes off theatres.

Incidentally, the television rights for the film haven’t been sold prior to the film’s release and there was curiosity as to who would bag the rights for such a big film.

Naturally, various channels have been competing for the same and finally ETV head Ramoji Rao has bought the rights of Baahubali.

Well, most of the film has been shot in Ramoji Film Studios and it is said that Ramoji Rao has also financed the film. Of course the news is not official, but the fact remains that he did help the team quite a bit and the team has also returned the favour by specially thanking him in the credits.

So when the team was settling the bills, the satellite rights worth Rs 15 crores have been given to Ramoji Rao. However, the news will be confirmed only after the promos will be aired on ETV as nothing has been announced officially till now.

Though it is quite common for big hits to be sold at high prices, Ramoji Rao shelling out such a high amount is a record in itself.
