Ramoji Rao Said No To Satellite Rights?

Already there is buzz everywhere that media baron Ramoji Rao has taken the satellite rights of "Baahubali" for a whopping sum. It could be understood very quickly that the makers of this magnum opus might have returned him the TV telecast rights as they have take a huge loan from the proud owner of Ramoji Film City. But it seems like things are not that smooth.

A report published by a leading media stated that Baahubali rights became a tough task to sell, because the makers are not settling out for reasonable sum. They say that MAA TV has offered a whopping 12 crores but Baahubali team asked for 15 crores and hence the deal was cancelled. Couple of other channels that have massive interest in the film before the release are now said to be backing out because they feel that the content will not suit TV as it merits hugely on sound quality and large screen feel in theatres.

Looking at all these happenings, makers have offered Baahubali rights to Ramoji Rao, as they owe him 26 crores of repayment for the 70 crores they have taken as loan from Ushakiron Financiers. However, Ramoji Rao is no interested to buy Baahubali rights even for half of the 26 crores because he feels this content will not suit television audiences. The authenticity of this report is not verified, but Baahubali team remained tight lipped about satellite rights issue.
