its certainly not over rated man .... innovation is what's driving the US economy for over a century now ( also , the whole world ) ....

 

the've consistently come up with innovative products that changed the face of the world ....  motor cars , Electricity generator , nuclear fuel ,  computer chips , space travel ,biotechnology , internet just to name a few ....

 

we would have still been in the dark ages if not for these inventions and its not a coincidence that a majority of these have come from the US

To be frank, Infy is killing Talents. I hope its the same with every desi company.

innovation is a very broad term...so its at every level not only technological, a simple marketing campaign creativly put can be called innovation.(like vodafone zoo zoo ads which changed the ad industrys approach by creating multiple shorts instead of one)

 

lots of american and indian companies make breakthroughs but only major tech companies come to limelight. ex here is Corning Inc, they made a glass which is durable, softouch beautify display glass which we use in everyday life but ppl only know abt apple and google.

Now all desi companies are just concentrating on billing not bringing up talents. They are least bothered about talents of their own employees.

Employee value is gone longback. Even in emergency they think of billing and don't care about his problem.

If you ask me we (desi companies) the damn idiots taught these kulfi clients about all these.

Ass hole desi companies not only killing our aspirations, they are screwing our personal life. There is no work life balance with their work culture.

I know few will argue on this but it's reality. Even if you serve day and night for years you will not get promotions nor green cards nor appreciations. Fcuk these software jobs.

RIP IT jobs.
