There are many confederate flags, not just one. All the falg on the captital are state flags, they were there before the civil war and after. The war was a lie to the people, the people were fighting for one thing states right to secede, when the gov. was no longer following the laws between the state the contract. It had to do with tariffs on cotton to the north. Slavery was on the wane in the South but unknown to the people those of the government who wrote and made up the constitution of the Southern confederacy were not of the same mind, which proved out with checking the back history of where those men had been and went back to after the war. The were democrats, and I am pretty sure were sent to mess the southern states that did secede up.

The vice president only spent 5 mos in jail, pardon and elected back to the senate but could not be seated on the fact his state had not got finish with the paper work, he later was elected to the house of Representatives, he was a democrat and they voted to punish the south for seceding, not for the war, that I am sure was their doing. The president who used to be the head of the union war college became the president of the South, nope am not buying is bull. Since black and white fought together side by side in the confederate army, this is not the right picture it is like a half broken picture and the two plotting were not on the peoples side. More to it but that is another story.

The flag really had nothing to do with slavery, they were the confederate flag is all. Seceding Union and the constitutional laws that were written, was part of it. If you go and find bout the first Confederation papers and the Confederacy constitution it could be compared. Slavery is always wrong for anyone. Wanting to keep it for expansionism is double wrong only those men were look at it that way. Freemen could expand the country or they could have worked with the Native Americans to expand it, and not take it.

All these flag are Just southern flags really, there is flag of the ones who died in battle it does not matter whose side they were on. It is not anyone getting hurt because of it.

What kind of logic is that man? No doubt there are good thinkers from those institutions but if i go by that logic then mostly failed states are the liberal ones.

I would say a blend of liberal and conservative ideas would give a perfect blend.
