U didnt mention anything about Ipod in ur post....

any ways....it will not delete the songs on ur ipod....

if u r trying to sync it wid new laptop which is already synced with the origina;l copy(ur old laptop)....then there shudnt be any problem....

if ur new lappy is a mac u can synch ur data on ur old
laptop(doesn't matter even it's windows).

Once data is in synch ., u can connect ur iPod and update the music library on 2 ways depending on how u r using ur iPod.if u r using it as a hard drive/pen drive .,just connect to ur machine and synch the files/folders.

If u r using it as music device, u need ro update ur iTunes library first(if ur new
machine is a mac and ur old machine had iTunes on it , this is not required) and then synch ur iPod else u ll loose all ur music library on ur iPod

Hope This helps
