jamesbond Posted July 21, 2015 Report Posted July 21, 2015 There's no denying that the Hyundai Creta is the most-awaited vehicle of the year, and the reason we say this is because of the buzz it has created across India since the company announced its upcoming launch. Interestingly, the vehicle has already received over 10,000 bookings even before its launch. Now that the vehicle's launch is just a day away, here's everything you need to know about Hyundai's first-ever compact SUV for the Indian market. Variants To be offered in three engine options - 1.4-litre CRDi diesel, 1.6-litre CRDi diesel and 1.6-litre VTVT petrol - the Hyundai Creta will be launched in a total of 6 trim levels - Base, S, S+, SX, SX+, SX (Optional) and 11 variants. While the 1.4-litre diesel and 1.6-litre petrol models will come with a 6-speed manual gearbox, the 1.6-litre diesel will get a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed automatic transmission. This makes it the only diesel automatic car in its segment. Just so you, these engines are the same that do duty on the Hyundai Verna. Features The standard features on offer will be central locking, 2-Din music system, 16-inch wheels, foldable key, etc. Whereas the top-of-the-line Hyundai Creta model will get smart key with push start-stop button, 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, projector headlamps, leather seats, audio video navigation system (AVN), 5-inch touchscreen audio system, leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio and phone control buttons, 6 airbags, reverse parking camera, projector headlamps, anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic stability control (ESC), vehicle stability management (VSM), hill-start assist control, etc. Engine and Transmission Options 1.4-litre CRDi diesel with a 6-speed manual gearbox - 89bhp, 220Nm 1.6-litre CRDi diesel with a 6-speed manual gearbox - 126bhp, 260Nm 1.6-litre CRDi diesel with a 6-speed automatic gearbox - 126bhp, 260Nm 1.6-litre VTVT petrol with a 6-speed manual gearbox - 121bhp, 155Nm Expected Price Range (ex-showroom, Delhi) We expect the base diesel variant of the Hyundai Creta to be priced at Rs. 9 lakh, whereas the top-end model might cost around Rs. 14 lakh. The petrol model, on the other hand, might start at Rs. 8.50 lakh.

If you r talking abt punto diesel,..then yes coz ur driving the national engine of India which is used by multiple manufacturers...case in point, swift uses the same engine sourced from fiat with different tuning and the rest you know is histroy. Since then maruti used this engine accross all variants right from Ritz to ciaz and latest s-cross
donganaaK Posted July 21, 2015 Report Posted July 21, 2015 If you r talking abt punto diesel,..then yes coz ur driving the national engine of India which is used by multiple manufacturers...case in point, swift uses the same engine sourced from fiat with different tuning and the rest you know is histroy. Since then maruti used this engine accross all variants right from Ritz to ciaz and latest s-cross yeah i'm talking about the diesel variant .... yeah i know that swift has the same engine and maruti buys it from fiat , but as a whole its very underrated , the interiors are nice and build quality is nice ... swif deenikante expensive but im not a big fan of it , interiors suck and the body is really weak ... punto lo attention to detail is very good for a car at this price point , for example the steering wheel is one of my fav things in it , leather wrapped ichi solid undi , premium feel ichey laaga, even the instrument cluster is very well designed ... ilaanti chinna chinna things chaala unnay that dont seem like a big deal but really matters as u get used to them .... here's a pic of it that i took last week .... I'd recommend Punto any1 that's looking to buy a car in that segment without any doubt ..
KeyserSoze Posted July 21, 2015 Report Posted July 21, 2015 Yes punto is definitely an enthusiasts car..but general population look for vfm like mileage,ASS etc European build ki manollu entha copy kottina kastam to achieve that quality.
