Police are on the scene of a shooting at a theater in Lafayette, Louisiana.

The shooting occurred at the Grand Theater. Police say that several people have been injured. They also believe the shooter is dead.

No other details have been released.

KATC-TV in Lafayette is reporting that their sources are telling them two people are dead.

The Associated Press is reporting they were told by an ambulance service that 10 people were shot and 8 have been taken to area hospitals. The AP says the gunman and one other person were pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.

The shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. It is reported to have happened in a theater showing the Amy Schumer comedy Trainwreck.
