you just cant solely put a valuation on number of users and anticipation of more in future. This is precisly the point I was making that scaling will be big issue to cope with for many Indian companies. More number of users==more problems. Tjey just dont have the systems in place to cope with heavy traffic.

yes I would bet on paytm too. But only bcoz it has the backing of alibaba. They have the advantage of sharing and recreating the successful model that worked in China.


Startups valuate Chesey appudu that's one of the main factors kada ? ... VCs / Investors basically bet on the future of the company not the present value ..

Yeah more users means more problems but If they can stream line the issues with the users that means significantly more income too , and we shouldn't forget that user acquisition is the key to any business , the more the better ... Maybe they don't have the technology in place now , but the'll certainly upgrade it with the growing needs .

Anyways was just reading , palantir raised another billion at 20bill valuation anta lol

The user acquisition costs concept in India doesnt work most of the time..the dynamics here are diffferent. 

may be in west US/Uk people continue to buy/spend once they use a service even after promotional perdiod. but in India you cannot expect then to spend after promotional period is over. ikkada offers untene kontaru..lekunte evvadu konadu lol.

Yeah That's true from an Indian customer view point .

But keeping the customer acquisition costs aside , I was just telling about the importance of acquiring customers for any business ....

These startups with all the VC money they have , have started this unhealthy practice , it'll definitely hit them hard in the future .

It was all started by snapdeal if I'm right

But for Indian people this is the right time to make the best use of all these discounts :giggle:
