SamosaChai Posted July 27, 2015 Report Posted July 27, 2015 SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘Baahubali’ which started smashing box office records from the day of its release has amassed Rs 416 crore gross at the global box office within 16 days leaving behind Aamir Khan starrer ‘3 Idiots’ in its life-time business to take the fourth position among the highest grossing Indian films. ‘Baahubali’ is now set to catch up with Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Chennai Express’ which is ranked third with a total box office collection of Rs 423 crore. Aamir Khan’s ‘PK’ and ‘Dhoom 3’ with earnings of Rs 740 crore and 542 crore are in the first and second places. With its amazing never-seen-before special effects, ‘Baahubali’ has captivated audience not only in India but also in the UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand and other countries. The film is continuing with its steady run at both domestic and international box office. The epic movie was made simultaneously made in Telugu and Tamil and dubbed in Hindi, English and a few other foreign languages. All the versions, especially Telugu, have received tremendous response across the globe. The story of ‘Baahubali’ has been written by Rajamouli’s father K V Vijayendra Prasad. The movie, made at a whopping Rs 265 crore is touted to be the most expensive Indian film ever made. It is made in two parts, ‘Baahubali – The Beginning’ and ‘Baahubali – The Conclusion’.
