JANASENA Posted July 28, 2015 Report Posted July 28, 2015 Successive Indian governments have more often than not, overlooked the military requirements of this nation under the pipe dreams of peace prizes and statesmanship. It's a soldier who's had to pay the price for the ambitions of their political masters. The thuggish, mediocre ruling elite of India is always busy appeasing the Pakistanis, in the fond hope that they would start loving it, and as a result, they can become contenders of the coveted peace prize. However, the only thing we end up bagging is Kargils and 26/11s. Kargil wasn't a work of one day. there is a long series of poor policy decisions that gave our enemies the ground to launch an offensive on us. • Kargil tale started with dhimmi I K Gujral who dismantled painstakingly built RAW infrastructure. He wanted to promote himself as a paragon of peace between two nations. An utopian pipe dream for which he dismantled the entire RA&W network (and ended up compromising a lot of assets) within a year of his regime. A crime for which he should have been tried for treason. • Then came dhimmi Vajpayee who took that bus to Lahore. "A stable, secure and prosperous pakistan is in India's interest. Let no one in pakistan be in doubt. India sincerely wishes pakistan well" wrote Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee in visitor's book at minar-e-pakistan on 21february, 1998. (Muslim League passed and adopted the resolution of pakistan on 23 march,1940 at minar-e-pakistan) And Kargil was return gift Pakistan to kafir Hindustan. The result was that over 1000 of our bravest are dead. And Vajpayee did not stop at that. He disclosed a vital RAW link to Nawaz Sharif to prove that it was a Pakistani military operation, by sending him a recording of Musharraf's conversation with one of his commanders (In the US, by law, penalty of leaking such intelligence assets is death). What was he hoping to gain by sending that CD to the PM of Pakistan? Either PM of the Pakistan knew about the operation, so it was useless, or he didn't know, and that meant that Pakistani army was not in his control, so again it was useless. RAW lost one of the most useful asset in the process. Coming to the war itself, these worthies who are ruling us are always busy distributing free rice, so never have money to arm and maintain the military. When enemy is at the door, they simply throw the poorly armed, under-staffed army at it, and our braves making great but unnecessary sacrifices save these thugs. • Similar is the case with Naxal operations. A bunch of communist thugs is killing our brothers in uniform for last forty years, but they won't raise and equip a force to smoke these murderous thugs of worst kind once and forever. All three Services are short of officers. In a country of 125 crore, and raging unemployment, how can any PM sleep with vacancies in armed forces? If there is shortage that only means that remunerations and perks are not enough. They must be revised upward till vacancies become nil. Do we need a research or a committee to know this simple fact of life? • As for corruption in defence deals, if that is the reason to block procurements, the government at the Centre and in all States must be shut down today, because nothing they do is without corruption. The first task of any government is to keep citizens safe from violence-both external and internal. And to achieve that, it has to deploy all the resources at its command. Everything comes after that.Military has the first claim on the resources of a country, because country exists only, and only, because of military. We are one the most threatened countries of the world, and therefore our military must always be fully staffed and equipped with best weapons. We must accept the truth that Pakistan will only put up with us so long as it can not destroy us. To buy time, it may occasionally go through the motions of peace talks, etc., but it will hurt us whenever it feels that we are weak. Without mercy, and without any regard to any 'peace accords' it may have signed with us.
