YS Jagan to Float his own outfit?

HYDERABAD: A perception, which is gaining currency , that Kadapa Congress MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is nurturing plans to float his own outfit has forced many erstwhile loyalists of the late CM Y S Rajasekhara Reddy to take a call on where they stand — while some are now distancing themselves from Jagan, others appear to be diluting their support.
“Because of Jagan’s recent utterances as well as his cold ties with the Congress high command, there is an uneasy feeling among ministers, MPs, MLAs and MLCs owing allegiance to YSR that the Kadapa MP is treading an anti-Congress path. Hence, many have turned either neutral or become pro-CM Rosaiah,” a Congress source said.
This perception is strong among many senior ministers who have now developed a working relationship with Rosaiah. The list includes Botsa Satyanarayana , Kanna Lakshminarayana, Gade Venkata Reddy, Dharmana Prasada Rao, J Geeta Reddy, D Sridhar Babu, Vatti Vasanta Kumar, Galla Aruna Kumari, D Manikya Varaprasad , Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Mukesh Goud, D Raja Narasimha and Pitani Satyanarayana. They were all once in the forefront of the ‘Jagan-for-CM ’ campaign in September 2009.
These ministers are of the view that Jagan has failed to build a harmonious relationship with the high command. “He has met Congress president Sonia Gandhi only once. He has made no efforts to convince the central leadership that he is a loyal worker . In fact, unlike his father, he never refers to anyone from the Gandhi family in his speeches. Hence, he will not have many takers if he tried to break away,” said an MLA from Prakasam.
