Rahul, depending on your tolerance levels as of now, i would say continue your IT job and get a green card(hoping you have applied already). Meanwhile try to get involved with someone who already has a restaurant. Work for him part time or weekends, learn the business and other nuances. Also, you will get an idea of the effort involved and it will give also you  chance to confirm if this is what you really want to do.

oka sari green card ocheka, meeru restaurant petukondhi. Meanwhile cash savings kodha increase avuthayi.

Rahul baa...

Your best bet is to talk to your current h1b holder and continue running payroll. You need to Pay that employer to keep running it.
Also, on h1b, you can own a business or a company...but cannot work for it on paper. But you can work under the table ...gap chup....but a risk if someone reports it.

When i say you cannot work for the company, but you can own it on H1b...it means, you can be the owner and take the profits and file taxes. You cannot work for it means...cannot do any admin work or even cleaning the tables etc etc.....

In short, you have to manage it "Gup Chup" till you get married and spouse has i140 approved, then EAD and you can do raccha. So plan this from now....i mean marriage too with a working girl in USA.

Best of Luck.

Restaurant is not easy as you think these days

Okappudu dollar bajji

Now dollar ki neevu 1 bajji ammuthanu ante, pakkaana telugu vaadu vacchi inkokati petti 1$ ki 4 antunnadu

That to hotel business is like maintaining new born baby everyday especially when it comes to andhra food in us

Think about twice before going full pledged.

You might have experience working in hotel industry. It's not enough.

What u need then?

Work from Acting owner shoes then u know the pros n cons.

Main obstacle for andhra hotels here is cook and competition from Telugu investors.

The restaurent business is labor (chef & support staff) dependent business....So, If one does not have exposure into this hotel mgmt and chef..then not easy to maintain staff.

Now a days, the Chefs them selves are slowly turning into owners and they have "hand on" and dont want to work for others.
