On one side Telangana CM KCR earlier wanted the metro works to be done underground to save all heritage structures of Hyderabad and on the other side the government wants to demolish Chest hospital, Government Mental Health Institute, Institute of Public Health, Drug Control Administration, Government Ayurvedic Hospital, TB Area Hospital for the construction of new Secretariat along with residential quarters to the Government officials.

The latest one in the demolition list of the government is Osmania General Hospital which is a heritage structure of the city. In defense to the decision the Dy Cm Mahmood Ali states even Charminar will be demolished if its weak.

Heritage structures will only go weak with every coming day. Its the duty of the government to restore them and not raze them off citing the age of the structure as the reason..
