As per trade experts the movie has collected Rs 13.50 Crores on day 1. Second biggest amount for a Telugu film in the Telugu states. The previous record was by Baahubali, which collected Rs 22 crores on Day 1 in AP and Nizam. About 7.5 Crores of rupees came from Andhra area, while Ceded area brought in 2.05 Crores of rupees. From the Nizam area, approximately Rs 4 Crs came on the first day. Altogether, Srimanthudu has become not only biggest opener in Mahesh Babu's career but also the second all-time biggest opener in Tollywood on the first day. Despite delivering two big flops earlier, Mahesh Babu bringing such humungous openings for the movie has stunned the trade.
