ronitreddy
rupee value won't effect prices of the goods produced domestically say you import a car from Germany which cost around $100K..... with $ at 64INR price will be 100000x64 = 64,000,00 with 1INR increase its gonna be 65,000,00 price of the oil may effect domestic goods value but, mostly Govt. controls it to keep it minimum. Okay. Why onion prices are surging despite mass production - don't u think these prices are often used an indicator of inflation?

porsche911
Okay. Why onion prices are surging despite mass production - don't u think these prices are often used an indicator of inflation? onions di artificial demand brah... created by middle vendors.... if Govt can buy large quantities from farmers directly and sell them in the raitu bazaars... automatically demand from the shops will decrease so does price since its a big task and less critical.... Govt dont want to step in to early
