yes, the plan is to do it in a similar manner at a stretch of 24kms with many check dams built at important places to store water. this plan was from 2010 and it was mired by many land acquition problems since some land in the river was given to farmers by nizam back then . luckily last year central government has granted 800 crores on paper(not released yet) and accounted it as a heritage site.

2005 nundi nadustunnadi ee yavvaram..time padutadi, everytime it has been attempted it landed in troubles and the successive governments left it as is, land rates periginayi, costs perginayi...eppudu enta ayitodato teluvadi unless some private companies are involved and they are promised some incentive it seem a difficult target now..
